GENIUS

In this world of hungry thirsty men
Clamouring for fame and praises,
He who deserved most never wanted any.
He who deserved most never wanted any.

Into nights he would toil,
Sweat beads forming on his forehead
But unmoved, his gaze unwavering
His hands would breathe life into his creations.

Then one day a few of them abused him.
They mocked at him, laughed at him, ridiculed him.
He never said a word
But his insides were poisoned.

He began questioning his convictions.
He could no more spend nights and days
Breathing life into his creations
All he did was question his convictions.

He was sad. He had never hurt anyone.
But why others did chose to hurt him?
What use are his creations?
What was his purpose after all?

One morning he found his answers.
He was happy again.
He again spent days, and nights,
Breathing life into his creations.

His works caught the attention
They praised him. They awarded him.
There were claps everywhere.
There were claps everywhere.

He picked up his shawl and shied away
Eager looks chasing him,
Praises following him.
He just walked away.

…For he had never wanted any of these…

Abbey! "Philosopher Uncle"???

You also borrowed one of my labels along with "Johnny"? And no disclaimer also? :P

Anyways its fine! So no fine!

BTW Johnny is not based on my personal nomenclature system.

Its std name for a kid in jokes where the kid stumps his teachers or parents with weirdo logic. We recieve lots of Johnny jokes forwards in (not) working in IT. Many of them tend to have a non-veg flavour too.

(Wait I thought flavour was something we put in a veg or non veg thing right? Whats non veg flavour? Something like Maggi Chicken?)

BTW my own Johnny joke was original.

Abhishek Behera said...

@ stupidosaur: Both my Johnny jokes are also original :D

Apologies - I used your label. Now its removed :P

I was wondering why weren't you noticing/complaining about the "stolen" label. So in the NEXT post I had the PS.

Okay flavor is used to make something appear as what it is not. So non-veg flavor-ed would be something which is essentially veg but is you know... Yeah, rite like Maggi Chicken :D

Hey your johnny joke may be original, but I definitely heard its P.S. part during enginering. The P+iJ complex joke thing :)

Abhishek Behera said...

@ stupidosaur: yes the p + ij part is very popular. but not all my readers are engineers. for them - re-stated. :)

I remembered one more from engg days:

one day e^x is walking down the road. He sees the Constant come running from the other side, looking very scared and desperate.

e^x : Hello Constant, what seems to be the hurry?

Constant: Run Run! The differential operator is coming! He will reduce us to zero!

e^x : Haha! The differential operator? Who's afraid of the differential operator! Even if he tries to mess with me a thousand times, I will remain unscathed. I am e^x the invincible! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!

The Constant is too scared for his life to wait and argue. He quickly crosses the block and disappears.

Just then e^x sees the differential operator coming round.

e^x (to himself): Oh hell I m screwed! Why didn't that moron Constant say the d/dy operator was coming! Shit!!!!

(Rest is censored, like violent scenes from Ghajini ;) )
